Hi everyone! A little about me, my name's Brodie and I'm located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I'm an adventurous fly fisherman who spends most of his time wading Lake Superior tributaries, or hiking the north shore of Lake Superior. I picked up a fly rod in 2012 and never looked back. Having spent my entire life up until this point fishing conventional gear, this was a whole new world to me. But I fell in love. Now don't get me wrong, I still love fishing jerk baits for post spawn pike, or casting spoons at river mouths for trout and salmon, but fly fishing is where my passion lies.
Along with fishing, there's another passion that takes up a lot of my time, and that's camping. Whether it be truck camping with my family or solo backcountry. From tents to hammocks, lakes and rivers. With some winter camping mixed in as well.
I started this blog to share my love of fishing, writing and the outdoors in our region. We are truly blessed to live where we do and be surrounded with the beauty we are. So if any of this sounds of interest to you, I invite you to follow along. The more people we can get outside the better. Thanks for reading, I really appreciate it!
